Hello from ELLIS (updated 2/26/01).
It's been a steady stream
of good news around ELLIS central headquarters these days. We thought we'd share
it with you all and keep the ju-ju flowing.
First, look for the In For
The Kill re-release to be available through our Web site as soon as mid March.
This is the 1995 debut recording offered by the members of ELLIS. It was originally
released under the name Icri's Witch and produced some nice sales in European
and Netherland countries. It has since been remastered, re-tweaked, repackaged
and re-released as an official ELLIS product. We've added a spectacular bonus
track called Getting Out which we're sure you'll all enjoy and the booklet now
contains live, color, concert photos from roughly 1994 - 97. Advance orders are
being taken now through our merchandise page of our
site, or by emailing the band at info@EllisMusic.com.
The cost is $15 plus $3 shipping and handling.
It was a big weekend for Brett.
Friday morning he made a debut appearance on the KUSI Morning Show with Laura
Buxton and Stan Miller in support of his new classical album. Brett gave an awesome
interview and performed several pieces from the CD. Friday night his classical
performance at The Rhythm Cafe in Oceanside was packed with new faces and fans
- welcome additions to the extended ELLIS family!
With the monumental feat of
playing an hour and a half of Fernando Sor's most challenging pieces under his
belt, Brett spent a half a day on Saturday recuperating. Then it was on to the
next thing.
Just Sunday, Brett and Stacey
took a trip to Los Angeles to do some work with their friend Glenn Hughes. Glenn has agreed to use a ballad written by Brett,
which will be released on Glenn's upcoming new album. Brett layed down all the
guitar tracks. Glenn has put some sweet lyrics and melody to the arrangement and
the song is feeling like a winner. It's likely the production will be just guitar
and voice, simple and sensational.
Tonight Stacey meets with
First For Women Magazine, a monthly publication with a million-plus readers. The
magazine spotted Stacey through hundreds of candidates for a story that focuses
on women who have cool day jobs, then at night get CRAZY!!! How could they resist
a rock star with a day job at the World-Famous San Diego Zoo! Look for an article
at the grocery store check out stand in the next couple months.
Next week the band hits the
rehearsal studio to prepare for the next "Hangar Sessions" recording
on March 10. Whew!
So when's the next ELLIS show,
fans are asking? The band is working on a couple possibilities that could include
an In For The Kill re-release party and/or an opening slot for Glenn Hughes in
San Diego in May.More to come on that. In the meantime, feel free to drop us a
line via our contact form.
Love.
Brett, Stacey and Mike
