Hello! My name is Alyssa Becker. I completed my degree in music performance at Keene State College in 2022. I have been teaching for three years, and I strive to bring a young, fresh perspective to those who would like to learn how to play the guitar or learn how to sing.

Voice: During my college years, I studied under many prominent vocal pedagogues such as Dr. Matthew Leese, Dr. Evangelina Leontis, and Dr. Daniel Carberg; I also had the great privilege of completing an extensive vocal pedagogy course at KSC. I recorded my first album of soprano and piano art songs, “Love and Thought,” in October of 2021. As a classically trained soprano, I prioritize learning and teaching foundational vocal techniques, including breath support, phonation, resonance, diction, and the release of tension. Your voice is unique and organic. I can’t wait to help you unlock this special instrument!

Guitar: I have studied classical guitar with Dr. Jose Lezcano and Professor Ted Mann for over six years. In the 2020-2021 academic year, the KSC music faculty selected me for the “Instrumentalist of the Year” award, and I was honored to be the recipient of the Redfern Music Department Scholarship and the Talent Scholarship. I have studied the works of classical composers such as Brouwer, Narvaez, Milan, Sor, Tarrega, Barrios, Piazzolla, Albeniz, Villla-Lobos, and others. I primarily enjoy teaching classical guitar, but I am also available to teach acoustic guitar as well.

• Voice: I use my own curriculum that I specialize for each unique student, including breathing exercises, vocal techniques, vocal exercises, and stretching. This of course is combined with pieces that the student and I will choose together.

Hi! My name is Korey and I am a guitar and mandolin player and instructor. I graduated summa cum laude from the Berklee College of Music with a Bachelor's degree in Music Performance and a minor in American Roots Music. I've been featured in numerous publications such as Flatpicking Guitar Magazine and Bluegrass Unlimited, was a 2013 IBMA Youth All Star, a member of the 2018 Acoustic Music Seminar, and have toured and recorded with various national and local bands. Over the course of the past 18 years, I've had the privilege of studying with many different incredible teachers. For the last 5 years, I've used this knowledge to develop an effective teaching style for my weekly private lessons with students of various abilities and ages.

During music lessons, I enjoy working with students on their instrument as well as improving their theory knowledge and training their ears. I believe that each private lesson should be specifically fitted for the individual. Therefore, I do not use a set curriculum, but rather refer to multiple different resources in order to give each student a comprehensive knowledge of the subject. After each lesson, if a new concept or song is explored, I provide sheet music or written words to help the student remember and visualize what was discussed and played. Overall, my goal is to help people find a connection between their mind and hands so that they can express themselves through thoughtful musical ideas. Hi! I am offering music lessons in guitar, ukulele, clarinet, composition, theory, and improvisaiton from my home studio in Winooski, VT. Lessons are designed to be fun, engaging, and tailored to individual interests. I can teach beginner, intermediate, and advanced levels in a variety of styles including pop/rock, jazz, blues, acoustic, electric, fingerstyle, country, metal, and folk. I am David Nacmanie, world traveler, musician and teacher. I've taught music in NYC, the Washington D.C. area, Samoa, Germany, and Japan! In all of my musical ventures, having fun is the most important aspect. With that in mind I tailor each lesson to the desires of the student. Some students work best through books like Breeze Easy while others learn best through playing songs they hear on the radio or on video games.

Music lessons are not just for kids. I've taught several students who are adults.
