The San Francisco "Virtuoso" is a mouthpiece Clark Fobes developed as a copy of his personal mouthpiece that he has played professionally for the past 25 years. The "Virtuoso" combines elegance and projection with excellent intonation and ease of playing. It is based on a blank designed with JJ Babbit and is now being manufactured from German rod rubber by master craftsman Wesley Rice of Rice Clarinet Works.
All Fobes professional mouthpieces are designed to play at A440 with a 67mm barrel and A441 with a 66mm barrel.
