Fox Renard Artist 220 Bassoon

The Artist Model 220 is built of black maple and acoustically, was patterned after the Fox Model II. A solid performer since its introduction in 1972, the Model 220 is a popular choice that features consistent response over the whole range, solid intonation and a warm even, tone. The least expensive Artist Model, it is a great choice for students, hobbyists and schools.

• Body: Black Maple, long bore, selected for tone and durability, naturally aged in Fox facilities. Linings in the wing joint and small bore of the boot joint. French bell (metal ring) is standard. Body Lock.
• Finish: Acrylic Enamel
• Mechanism: Nickel silver keys with silver plating. Full German system with additional high D and high E keys. Ring key for wing joint third finger hole. Rollers on F, A(flat), E(flat) D(flat); right thumb B(flat) and F(sharp) in combination with a crowned E key. B(flat) guard. Metal tubes extending into the bore in the finger holes of the wing and boot joints to prevent water from entering the tone holes. Spring posts locked with screws.
• Intonation: Designed to be played at A:440 but can be tuned higher with a combination of shorter bocals and higher pitched reeds.
• Bocals: The Model 220 comes standard with two *CVX* bocals, #2 and #3 lengths, silver plated.
• Accessories: Premium artist case with cover, neck strap, crutch, two drop swabs, seat strap.
