This is Ellis’s basic student viola. The instrument is made with maple back and sides, spruce top and inlaid purfling. It has ebony fittings, tailpiece with integrated tuners, and Helicore strings (13” and smaller violas have Prelude or Pro Arté strings). The outfit comes with a quality wood shell case and a carbon composite bow.
