Power Workout 2 is a 12-13 minute practice routine that not only builds physical strength, power and endurance on the drumset, but also helps develop your ability to focus and concentrate on technique, time and groove. Developed by Kenny Aronoff as a way to thoroughly warm up on the drumset in a short period of time, it consists of 12 individual lessons that focus on five different single stroke ostinato patterns played between your bass drum foot and one of your hands. These ostinato patterns are called basic concepts, and as you play them with one hand and both feet, you will also play polyrhythmic patterns with the other hand.
