This 2-ply face mask is made of a polyester/spandex blend from 105 Denier fabric and includes a hole through which to play a wind instrument.
Preliminary results from the Performing Arts Aerosol Study have shown that wearing a mask and using a cover over the bell of your instrument, along with social distancing and other safety recommendations, can greatly reduce the transmission of air-born particles produced while playing a wind instrument.
(Please note that this mask will not work for flute.)
The use of an instrument bell cover (sold separately) in combination with the mask will help to minimize aerosols from exiting the instrument.
