These high-quality, professional bassoon reeds are made for Ellis Music by Becky Eldredge, a lifelong bassoonist who plays professionally throughout New England.
The reeds are handmade over the course of several soaking and adjustment periods to ensure great stability. Each bassoon reed is shaped using a Knakenhauer #1 shaper and Rigotti cane.
This "medium hard" reed has some extra mass to allow players to make their own adjustments.
