Hazel Dority is a graduate of the University of Vermont. She holds a BS in Music Education and has had a lifelong love of music and teaching. She works at the VT Jazz Camp and has played with groups such as the Vermont Wind Ensemble, the Vermont Jazz Ensemble, Green Mountain Swing, and many others. She specializes in clarinet and bass clarinet, and is proficient in all woodwinds with the exception of oboe. Clarinet, bass clarinet, and music theory lessons are open to students of all levels. She teaches saxophone, flute, bassoon, and music composition to beginning and intermediate students, and electric bass and trombone to beginning students. She is also open to traveling in the Burlington/Champlain Valley area to teach students in their homes if it can make lessons more accessible to students. Hazel has made it her life goal to share her love and passion for music with everyone, because it has been an influential part of her own life and has shaped her into the person she is today.
