A good private music teacher can make a tremendous difference. Students who take music lessons (and practice!) tend to improve more quickly and consequently get more enjoyment out of making music.

Ellis Music does not offer a music lessons or instruction. We realize that finding an instructor can be challenging (particularly for older beginners), so we offer this directory for the purpose of helping to match students and teachers. The individuals and music centers listed on our site have indicated to Ellis Music that they offer private music instruction in Vermont or New Hampshire. You will also find links near the bottom of the page to community music schools, which are another option for finding an instructor.
